7. Remove the shift knob and center console from the
vehicle.
8. Remove the push rivets and screws retaining the RH
rocker panel and remove panel from the vehicle (see
Chapter 10 – Rocker Panels, Console and Floor,
page 10.18).
9. Remove the lower bolt retaining the seat belt
mechanism near the rear RH portion of the fuel tank.
Once removed, place the mechanism in the rear
cargo box to keep it out of the way.
10. Remove the three Torx fasteners from the rear RH
fender well and remove the fender well from the
vehicle (see chapter 10).
11. Remove the three shift lever support bracket bolts
and place the bracket out of the way of the fuel tank,
but do not remove or cut the plastic wire harness
retainer.
