The Promise Vess A-Series of NVR appliances are integrated and reliable servers as well as storage solutions
for IP video surveillance. Vess A-Series NVR appliances are open platform solutions that can be deployed with
any of the leading IP cameras, video management software (VMS) and central management software (CMS) for
installations of any size – from standalone units to large-scale deployments requiring hundreds of cameras and
petabytes of storage.
The Vess A6120 series are designed as building blocks for the deployment of a video surveillance system.
Reliable and easy to set up, Vess A6120 is the ideal server appliance for establishing a complete surveillance
system. Vess A6120 are 1U 4-bay rack-mounted solutions offering easy scalability through Promise external
storage units. They are perfect for up to 60 IP cameras without extra storage and with larger scale-out storage,
Vess A6120 supports up to 200 cameras.
There are three main variations for the Vess A6120 series, to be deployed based on the needs of your project:
Vess Orange (A6120-AS) is equipped with 2 Intel Xeon® E5-2620 v4 CPUs plus 16GB RAM (expandable to
128GB). It is suitable for analyzing huge amounts of video data (intelligent video analytics).
Vess Black (A6120-MS) is equipped with 1 Intel Xeon® E5-2620 v4 CPU plus 8GB RAM (expandable to
128GB). It is the best choice for running CMS and managing the whole surveillance system.
Vess Blue (A6120-RS) is available with 1 Intel Xeon® E5-2603 v4 CPU plus 8GB RAM (expandable up to
128GB). It meets the demands for a recording server inside the whole system.
Add-on CArd List
Promise also prepares a set of add-on cards for customers to choose, offering great exibility for customizing
the platform for various kinds of projects.
These cards are available to be added to Vess A6120 servers according to the project requirements. For all
possible integration possibilities, please see “Add-on card” on page 31.
