3.10 Maneuvering the Lifting
Carriage and the Water
Reservoir
The two castors under the push rods of the lifting
carriage and the water reservoir are equipped with
total locking device. The total locking devices have
to be released to move the lifting carriage or the
water reservoir (step on the unlocking device).

CAUTION
Improper handling.
Risk of injury!
The total locking devices must only be adjusted
by foot, never by hand. Always wear sturdy
shoes when doing so.

The lifting carriage must only be moved with the
water phantom in its lowest position. The water
must have been completely drained from the
water phantom.
The lifting carriage and the water reservoir must
only be moved on slopes of up to 5°. In the proc-
ess, two people must hold the push rod on the
side on top of the slope.
To prevent the lifting carriage or the water reser-
voir from moving unintentionally, the total locking
devices must always be used when the lifting
carriage or the water reservoir is stationary.

The lifting carriage and the water reservoir must
only be moved on smooth surfaces within build-
ings.
CAUTION

Transport damage!
If the water reservoir is transported at tempera-
tures below 0°C, the water system (reservoir,
pumps, valves) has to be completely emptied
and dried.
