Therapy Beam Analyzer

Intended Use
The MP3 Therapy Beam Analyzer is a computer-
controlled measuring system for dose distribution
and radiation analysis in radiotherapy.
The standard system configuration should consist
of the following components:
− Perspex tank with moving mechanism
− Positioning device
− TBA CONTROL UNIT
− TBA CONTROL PENDANT handheld terminal
− Dual-channel electrometer TANDEM
− Semiflex ion chamber, 0.125 cm³ and reference
chamber
− MEPHYSTO software
− Lifting carriage and water reservoir
The standard system configuration should be com-
pleted with a PC.
The system can be expanded with additional ac-
cessories (see section
1.7).
The system is designed for use as a measuring
device only. Do not use the system to control X-ray
systems or radiotherapy systems.
The system components must not come in contact
with the patient.
NOTE
Please observe the information given in the user
manuals supplied with the dual-channel elec-
trometer TANDEM, the TBA CONTROL UNIT,
the TBA CONTROL PENDANT, the MEPHYSTO
software, the PC and the ionization chambers.
Safety Information

Signal Words
DANGER
Indicates an imminent hazard. If not avoided, the
hazard will result in death or serious injury.

Indicates a hazard. If not avoided, the hazard
can result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION
Indicates a potential hazard. If not avoided, the
hazard could result in minor injury or product /
property damage.
NOTE
Provides useful information to assure that you
get the most from your equipment.
