  If the TANDEM Power LED is not illuminated on your PTW Measuring Instruments, check whether the connection cable T10006.1.002 to the TBA CONTROL UNIT is connected. Also, check if the Power LED at the TBA CONTROL UNIT is illuminated. Finally, check the TANDEM fuses.

  If the TBA CONTROL PENDANT display shows no meaningful characters on your PTW Measuring Instruments (only in case of handheld terminal T43164/U200), check if the control cable T43164/K1 between the TBA CONTROL UNIT and junction box is connected and screwed tight. Also, verify that the RESET button on the back of the TBA CONTROL UNIT is not stuck or being pushed by an object. You can verify the function of the serial interface, using a PC software program (e.g. MEPHYSTO mc²). If the program displays the message "No proper Connection", a TBA CONTROL UNIT defect is very likely. If the communication is functioning, either the TBA CONTROL PENDANT or the connection cable is defective.
