Host bus adapter
Connects a host system to other network and storage devices
Linear Tape-Open
Magnetic tape data storage technology
Logical Unit Number
Unique number assigned to each device attached on a SCSI bus. For
example, disk and tape drives, media changer, etc.
Operator Control Panel
Includes display, buttons and LED’s and enables the user to operate
the unit from the front
Printed Circuit Board
Example: Library controller
Remote Management Unit
Provides the capability to operate the unit through a web based
remote management interface
Storage area network
Architecture to attach remote computer storage devices
Serial Attached SCSI
Computer bus, which moves data to and from computer storage
devices such as hard drives and tape drives
Small Computer System Interface
Communication interface to the host system
