2001 Faulty Printhead The printhead is damaged or
has a poor electrical connec-
tion.
Remove the printhead using
the printhead replacement
function in the Parts Replace-
ment tab of the QL-800 Mainte-
nance Utility.
Clean the electrical contacts on
the printhead with a clean,
lint-free cloth and isopropyl
alcohol.
Finish using the printhead
replacement function but rein-
stall the same printhead.
Check the printhead latch and
electrical harness connections.
Replace the printhead.
2002 Incorrect Printhead The installed printhead is not
appropriate for this printer.
Install a genuine QuickLabel
printhead.
2003 Printhead Missing The printhead is not installed,
has a poor electrical connec-
tion, or a printhead latch is not
recognized as being closed.
Remove the printhead using
the printhead replacement
function in the Parts Replace-
ment tab of the QL-800 Mainte-
nance Utility.
Clean the electrical contacts on
the printhead with a clean,
lint-free cloth and isopropyl
alcohol.
Finish using the printhead
replacement function but rein-
stall the same printhead.
Check the printhead latch and
electrical harness connections.
Replace the printhead.
2004 Unlicensed Printhead A qualified electrical compo-
nent is not being found by the
system.
Install a genuine QuickLabel
printhead.
