4 Functional description: Introduction
There are two versions of the Q-FlapCompact II inlet isolation device:
Q-FlapCompact II and Q-FlapCompact II Plus.
Both models have the locking device and the closed-position sensor
(formerly known as the deposit sensor). In addition, the Q-FlapCompact II
Plus has a wear and tear sensor. A level sensor is available as an option on
both models.
4.1 Functional description Q-FlapCompact II/Plus
General functional
description
The Q-FlapCompact II /Plus serves as an inlet isolation device for
dust category St1
(all sizes: DN 140 DN 1000 (5.51-39.37 in)) and St 2 (sizes: DN 140 - DN 315 (5.51-
12.40 in). See Chart, Section 1. The Q-FlapCompact II/ Plus device is designed for
the maximum pressure surge resistance as indicated in the technical data in Section
1. The inlet isolation device is only effective against the flow direction and is a one-way
isolation valve. The inlet isolation device must be installed in the following order (in
flow direction):

- filter(container) - fan.
