4.4.4 Optional level sensor requirements
The monitoring panel must be designed such that a level sensor malfunction
message is displayed at the monitoring panel as soon as the level sensor
signals a deposit accumulation. The system can continue operation until the
next scheduled shutdown and an emergency shutdown is not necessary.
When the system is shut down after a malfunction is indicated, the monitoring
panel must be configured such that the system cannot be started-up again until
the reason for the signal is investigated and cleared for start-up.
WARNING
If the level sensor signals a deposit accumulation, the entire inlet
isolation device must be inspected for material accumulations!
Orderly functioning
of the inlet isolation device cannot be guaranteed unless
it has been inspected for deposits.
