Returning to Ready Status
When the last page of the document has been fed out, the scanner motor turns
clockwise, then counterclockwise, and clockwise again. This lifts the pick-up roller
to its ready position. This is also done at the following times:
• Just after the power is turned on
• Following jam removal
• When the scanner cover is opened and closed
• When a document is removed from the ADF.
