Problem Cause Solution
The printed image is
smudged.
There are marks where ink
has dropped on the printed
image.
Perform head cleaning. For details
about head cleaning, see page 89
"Cleaning Print Head Nozzles".
Uneven density or black
streaks occur on the printed
image.
The media feed quantity
may not be appropriate.
Adjust the media feed quantity
according to the following procedure:
1. Press the [Standard Procedure]
key.
2. Press [Media Feed Adjustment].
3. Press [Level Setting].
4. Select [Level 2].
5. Press [Close] to close the setting,
and then execute printing.
To further reduce the uneven
density, select [Level 3 (Hi)].
If horizontal black streaks are
prominent, select [Level 1 (Lo)].
• Although uneven density is
reduced if you select [Level 3
(Hi)], black streaks may appear.
Conversely, although black
streaks may be eliminated if you
select [Level 1 (Lo)], uneven
density may occur.
