Problem Solution
An error occurs when reading the sensor during
auto adjustment of the media feed quantity.
• When white lines appear due to nozzle
clogging, clean the print heads. For details
about head cleaning, see page 89
"Cleaning Print Head Nozzles".
• Adjust the feeding quantity manually to the
proper feed quantity. For details about
adjustment, see page 92 "Adjusting the
Media Feed Quantity Manually".
• Adjust the drop position. For details about
adjustment, see page 96 "Adjusting the
Drop Position".
• Follow the error message displayed on the
control panel and RIP software such as
sensor reading errors, and take the required
action.
• Transparent or colored media cannot be
adjusted automatically.
After adjusting the media feed quantity manually,
there is an abnormality in the printed pattern.
• When white lines appear due to nozzle
clogging, clean the print heads. For details

"Cleaning Print Head Nozzles".
• Adjust the feeding quantity to the proper
feed quantity. For details about adjustment,
see page 91 "Adjusting the Media Feed
Quantity".
• Adjust the drop position. For details about
adjustment, see page 96 "Adjusting the
Drop Position".
The test pattern of the drop position adjustment
cannot be printed successfully.
Perform the following:
1. Print the nozzle check pattern, and then
check for nozzle clogging.
2. When nozzle clogging occurs, perform
head cleaning. For details about head
cleaning, see page 89 "Cleaning Print Head
Nozzles".
3. After solving nozzle clogging, readjust the
drop position automatically or manually.
