Problem Solution
The test pattern of the drop position adjustment
cannot be printed successfully.
Perform the following procedures:
1. Check that media is correctly set in the
media output location and the roll-up unit.
2. When the media set at an angle, reset the
media.
3. After the media is set correctly, readjust the
drop position automatically or manually.
The test pattern of the drop position adjustment
cannot be printed successfully.
• Check whether the media is set correctly,
and whether the media is wrinkled or loose.

page 50 "Setting Media".
• The media may be jammed, as the media
and print heads are rubbing against each
other. Raise the height of the print heads. For
details about changing the height, see
page 147 "Head Height".
The test pattern of the drop position adjustment

1. Adjust the media feed quantity. For details
about adjustment, see page 91 "Adjusting
the Media Feed Quantity".
2. After adjusting the media feed quantity,
readjust the drop position automatically or
manually.

Check whether the head height is appropriate.
When the print heads and media rub together,
raise the height of the print heads. Perform drop
position adjustment after changing the head
position.
Cannot adjust the drop position well
automatically.
Adjust the drop position manually. For details

Transparent or colored media cannot be adjusted
automatically.
