Changing the printer to 4-color only (White Auto Cleaning: OFF) from
4-color only (White Auto Cleaning: ON)
The 4-color only (White Auto Cleaning: ON) status can be changed to 4-color only (White Auto
Cleaning: OFF) by cleaning the white print head again.
[Features of this mode]
In this mode, no automatic cleaning occurs to maintain the nozzle quality of the white head, so no
cleaning fluid in the cleaning cartridge is consumed. If you wish to prevent nozzle clogging of the
white print head, you must install a head protection cover on the white carriage.
*For instructions on how to install the head protection cover, see "Installation of the head protection
cover" on page 213.
Since printing is disabled when the head protection cover is attached, this mode is recommended for
use during storage and transportation.
Printing in this mode is possible only if printing is to be continued without white ink in the future.
■When printing is performed without the head protection cover installed
Printing without white ink underbase or white printing is possible. However, the white head may
become nozzle-clogged (malfunction) during the next ink fill.
Printing data containing white will result in an error and cannot be printed.
