9.1. When the Printing Result Is Not as Expected
Depending on the printing conditions, when printing on a dark-colored fabric that involves the formation of
a background with white ink, an undesired printed image may occur.
For problems with printing results, see the solutions below.
If bleeding occurs
Bleeding as shown below.
Causes:
The following are possible causes.
• The height of the image size being less than 100 mm,* and the drying time of the white ink being
short.
*If the image size is too small, the proper drying time cannot be ensured after the white ink prints.
• The drying time is set to 0 sec.
• The design of the image uses a lot of dark colors.
• The garment is not pretreated properly.
• Large amounts of white ink being ejected. (The intensity is set to 100 instead of the default value of
98.)
• Color ink flowing when white ink is set to white solid mode (flood or minimum 100 of brightness).
• When the output profile is set to OFF.
Solutions:
Focusing on image quality at the expense of productivity
• Set the drying time to 20 seconds.
Focusing on productivity by shortening printing time
Select the job in the “Job” archive, and then right-click the selected job.
Click [Settings].
