DHCP State ‘On’
No elds require identication. A DHCP request will be initiated by the communications
gateway to the WAN’s DHCP server, which will assign an IP address for all data com-
munications over the WAN. See Figure 18.

Note: For both the DHCP On and Off states, the Ping Response toggle button when
toggled to the On position will make the gateway responsive to a ping command. This
toggle button is in the Off position by default.
