Optical Backreflection Meter SPA-100
15 / 67
5.2 Front cabling
1. The optical output of the TSL and the optical input port (Optical Input) of the
SPA-100 are connected via polarization preservation optical fiber (PMF, Slow
axis key, sold separately).
5.3 Power-on, laser input
Press the power switch on the lower left side of the front panel of the SPA-100.
Lights amber when idle and green when energized.
Refer to the instruction manual of the TSL to be used, turn on the power, and
operate the laser output.
The maximum optical input power to the SPA-100 is 10dBm, the excess input
power may cause damage to the inside parts. It is recommended to use it around
0dBm because ghosting may occur if there is strong reflection.
