6.5. Return loss and Insertion loss of peaks, Distance between peaks
6.5.1. Condition settings for return loss (RL) and insertion loss (IL)
The calculation conditions for RL and IL displayed in the peak list can be changed
using "RL range (mm)" and "IL range (mm)" in the "Analysis Settings" tab. The
initial value is ±5 mm, but please adjust it to match the width of the peak
depending on the characteristics of the measured object. RL displays the value
integrated over the set range around the detected peak. Therefore, the value of
RL will be greater than the peak level.
In addition, IL averages the front and rear sides of the RL measurement range
within the set range, and displays the difference before and after the peak as IL.

6.5.2. Calculating distance between peaks
Select any two peaks from the detected peak list and display the relative distance.
From the peak list, place the mouse pointer on the peak data that will be the
basis for distance measurement, and select "Set to Base" from the menu that
appears when you right-click. The position of the selected peak is displayed in
“Base” at the top of the list.
