6.12 Measurement of transmission characteristics
This section describes the wavelength-dependent measurement of transmission
insertion loss (IL).
1. SPA-100 Measurement Ports 1 and 2 with fiber cable for reference
measurements (It is recommended to connect one that is close to the fiber
length of the device to be measured).
2. Set measurement parameters. In the "Scan Setting" tab, set the
measurement start and end wavelengths, and set the measurement mode
to "Transmission (IL)". Click the "Save" button to save the settings and close
the panel.
