    Safety Precautions
2.16 Magnetic Forces
2.16.1 Effects on Implants From Magnetic Forces
The device’s motor emits strong magnetic forces during operation.
Magnetic forces can affect implants and other magnetic devices. People
with implants can be lethally or seriously injured by these forces; magnetic
or magnetized devices can also be damaged by these forces.
t Ensure that active implant carriers e.g. those with pacemakers, cochlear
implants, insulin pumps, maintain a safe distance of 0.5 m from the
device.
t Ensure that passive implant carriers maintain a safe distance of 0.1 m
from the device.
t Magnetic or magnetized objects should not be stored or used near the
device.
2.16.2 Danger of Crushing Due to Magnetic Forces
When the mixing bag is installed in the Palletank
®
 for Mixing: High magnetic
forces exist between the motor of the device and the impeller in the mixing
bag. If the user of the device or other people nearby come into contact with
the motor or the impeller in the mixing bag during this process: There is a
risk of fingers becoming trapped and crushed.
t When working to install the mixing bag into the Palletank
®
 for Mixing,
observe the information in the device’s operating display. The device’s
user guide displays the required work steps for installing the mixing bag
in sequential order.
t The mixing bag must only be installed in the Palletank
®
 for Mixing when
the device motor is decoupled from the Palletank
®
 for Mixing (the motor
is fully inserted).
2.17 Trip Hazard Due to Connection Cables
If the device’s connection cable, i.e. the power supply cable, is accidentally
misplaced or not considered when moving the device: Users of the device
or other people nearby might trip over the connection cable and injure
themselves.
t While moving the device pay attention to where the connection cable is.
