6  Getting Started
6.1  Connecting the Power Supply
6.1.1  Connecting a Potential Equalization Cable
Procedure
 t
 WARNING Risk of injury due to electric shock when using an unsuita-
ble potential equalization cable! Use the potential equalization cable 
provided. The potential equalization cable is combined with the power 
supply cable.
 t Check whether the mains plug of the potential equalization cable 
matches the power connections at the installation site. 
 t If necessary: Contact Sartorius Service.
 t Connect the potential equalization cable to the “Potential equalization” 
connection (1).
 t Connect the mains plug of the potential equalization cable to the power 
supply provided at the installation site.
6.1.2  Connecting the Power Supply Cable
Procedure
 t
 WARNING Risk of injury due to electric shock when using an unsuit-
able power supply cable! Use the power supply cable provided.
 t Check whether the country-specific power plug matches the power con-
nections at the installation site. 
 t If required: Contact Sartorius Service (for available power supply 
cables, see Chapter “16 Accessories”, page 60).
 t Unscrew the nut for the strain relief (2) and remove.
 t Insert the power supply cable into the cable holder.
 t Reinsert the nut for the strain relief and tighten by hand.
 t Press the grooved surface on the plug of the power supply cable and 
connect the plug to the “power supply” connection (1). 
 t Connect the mains plug of the power supply cable to the power supply 
provided at the installation site.
