12 Transport
12.1 Installing the Transport Lock
If the device needs to be transported, e.g. if it needs to be shipped: The
transport lock must be installed.
The transport lock consists of 2 transport lock screws that were fitted on the
device on delivery.
Personnel: 2 persons, user
Procedure
t Hold the device firmly by the handle and push it down in a controlled
manner.
t Push the device down until the handle is resting on the floor.
t Have a second person hold the device firmly by the handle, so the device
remains in this position during installation.
t Unscrew screws (1) and (2), remove them, and save them for use with the
device later.
t Screw the 2 transport lock screws into the device.
t While holding the device by the handle, tip it downwards once again in a
controlled manner so that it stands on the castors.
t
CAUTION Risk of injury due to uncontrolled rolling away of the
device! Place it on a level surface and secure the brakes. Wear personal
protective equipment.
