Cleaning and Maintenance
For models with a volume range = 5,000µL
t Hold the tip cone holder (2) with one hand and use the other hand to
turn the tip cone cylinder (1) clockwise and pull it off.
y The piston (3) is exposed.
For models with a volume range = 10,000µL
t Hold the tip cone cylinder (1) with one hand and use the other hand to
turn the locking ring (2) clockwise and pull the tip cone off.
y The piston (3) is exposed.
9.2.3 Cleaning Individual Components (1-channel Models)
t Dampen the cloth with suitable cleaning agent (see Chapter“14.9.1
Cleaning Agents”, page57).
t Wipe the outside of the following components with the damp cloth.
— Piston
— Spring (if present)
— Tip cone
— Tip cone holder
— Tip ejector
t Moisten a cotton swab with suitable cleaning agent and carefully use it
to clean the inside of the tip cone and tip ejector.
t If necessary: rinse the components with distilled water.
t Leave all components to dry.
