FORMAT MEMORY CARD
FUNCTION
Specifies the format (initialization) of memory card.

<ESC>FM

Up to 8 bytes in alphanumeric and symbols
Place this command between <ESC>A start code and <ESC>Z stop code.

NOTES
1. Make sure to specify the card slot number to be used for the <ESC>CC command before the
<ESC>FM command.
2. The <ESC>FM command is used for initializing a memory card and this command cannot be used in
combination with other commands.
3. Care should be exercised when using this command as it destroys any data previously written to the
card. SATO is not liable for any data loss.
