Operating conditions below deck
In addition to the operating conditions on deck, the following regulations apply:
• If the patient is lying on a conducting surface (e.g. metal floor in the engine or stor-
age room), the patient needs to be positioned on an insulating mat prior to defibril-
lation.
• Make sure that even the patient's arms and legs are positioned on the insulating
mat.
