3.9.1.2 Special Keys During Power-on
Some keys have a special functionality when being pressed during the power-on /
boot process.
• »↵« during power-on – After a conrmation dialog, the DiggiMEC enters a special•
“Service Mode”. This operating mode allows for installing a new rmware on the
DiggiMEC.
• »Reset« during power-on – After a conrmation dialog, the WIC1 enters a special•
“Service Mode”. This operating mode allows for installing a new rmware on the
WIC1.
•
»✕« during power-on – After a conrmation dialog, the WIC1 resets all settings to
•
the respective factory default.
This is the same functionality as the Direct Control [Service / General] »Factory
Reset«, see ╚═▷ “2.12 Reset to Factory Defaults”.
WARNING!
As long as you are running in „Service Mode“, your equipment is protected only by the
Backup protection, not by the user settings.
This means that the Backup Protection of the WIC1, especially the WIC1‑xxxxxx1
(“Backup Protection trip as soon as possible”) variant, might output a trip pulse.
Therefore it is strictly recommended to always enter the „Service Mode“ only with the
breaker opened (or disconnected).
