3.11. Accelerator And Brake
Before performing work, be sure to turn power off. Working with power on can
cause an electric shock or short circuit.
Use care to ensure the wiring is not damaged. Damaged wiring can cause
electric shock or short circuit.
Touching parts of the machine other than those specified here can cause electric
shock of short circuit.
This procedure to be carried out only by QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL.
If the operation of the Accelerator and Brake pedals is unsatisfactory and not remedied by adjustment of
the VOLUME SETTING in the TEST MODE, the cause may be mesh failure of the Volume Gear or a
faulty Volume potentiometer. Follow the procedure below to adjust the Volume Gear mesh or replace the
Volume potentiometer.
When the pedals are depressed fully, if the Volume shaft is rotating within the movable range, the Volume
is not feared to be damaged. Use the procedure described herein to position the VR such that the correct
values (refer to Section 5.4.) are displayed at both extremes of pedal travel.
3.11.1. Removing The Accelerator And Brake
1. Turn the power switch OFF and remove the IEC cable.
2. Take out the seven truss screws and remove the Floor Lid.
