Press the VOLUME + button to increase the volume and the VOLUME - button for
decreasing.
Caution:
When
in
DVD function, the DISPLAY button cannot switch the brightness.
The display brightness depends
on
the setting of "PANEL DISPLAY" of "Changing
the initial setting of DVD

(see page 20).
You can switch the display brightness of the AV control unit and the DVD player.

To change the display brightness (2 levels)
When the input
is
not DVD, you can change the brightness of the AV control unit dis-
play by holding down the DISPLAY button on the remote control for 2 seconds or
more.

To turn the power on
Press the ON/STAND-BY button.
The power indicator lights
up.
If the power does not turn
on,
check if the power cords are plugged
in
properly.
Notes:
• When the ON/STAND-BY button on the DVD player
is
pressed, the system turns
on
.
• When the ON/STAND-BY button on the AV control unit or the remote control
is
pressed:
In
DVD function: The system turns on.
In
other functions: The system except the DVD player turns
on.

DVD player:
After checking all the connections, plug the DVD player into the
AC
outlet.
Notes:
• The power
is
supplied to the AV control unit by the subwoofer/amplifier unit. The
AV control unit is not equipped with a power cord.
• Never use a power cord other than the one supplied. Otherwise, a malfunction or
an
accident may occur.
• Unplug the DVD player and the subwoofer/amplifier unit if they will not be used for
a prolonged period of time.
CAUTION:
TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK, MATCH WIDE BLADE OF PLUG TO
WIDE SLOT, FULLY INSERT.

Connecting the AC power cord
Subwoofer/amplifier unit:
After checking all the connections, connect the
AC
power cord to the AC power input
jack, then to the
AC
outlet.
