II To use timer and sleep operation together
You can fall asleep and wake up to the same CD.

To confirm the remaining sleep time:
1 While "SLEEP" is indicated, press the TIMER button.
2 Within 10 seconds, press the
..... or ~ button to select "SLEEP".

1 Set the sleep timer (steps 1 - 4).
Sleep operation starts.
• The remaining sleep time is displayed for about 10 seconds.
• You can change the remaining sleep time while it is displayed by pressing the
ENTER button (steps 3 - 4).
To cancel the sleep operation:
Press the ON/STAND-BY button while "SLEEP" is indicated.
To cancel the sleep operation without setting the unit to the stand-by mode, proceed
as follows.
1 Press the TIMER button.
2 Within 10 seconds, press the
..... or ~ button to select "SLEEP OFF', and press the
ENTER button.
II Setting the sleep timer
You can set the system to the power stand-by mode at the specified time.

Caution:
This system cannot set the sleep timer of other equipment.
When setting the sleep timer using the digital tuner, TV, or VCR, the connected
equipment should be set to sleep timer at the same time.

5 Your system will enter the power stand-by mode automatically af-
ter the preset time has elapsed.
The volume will be turned down 1 minute before the sleep operation finishes.
You cannot change the volume.
