Caution:
Close the disc tray when
it
is
not
in
use. Otherwise, dust may accumulate inside
and cause malfunction to the DVD player.
The DVD player
is
slightly heated when used for a long time.
It
does not mean the
DVD player
is
damaged.
When attempting to play discs with scratches or of a different region number, or
unplayable or restricteq (*1) discs,
an
error message will appear
on
the TV display
and the disc will not play.
(*1) Viewing
is
prohibited
on
some DVDs according to the audience age.
Notes:
A safety feature automatically sets the system to the power stand-by mode if you
set the volume level too high while playing certain types of discs.
If
this happens,
lower the volume level and restart playback.
Stop positions may be recorded
on
some discs. When you play such a disc, play-
back stops there.
During
an
operation,
11(911
may appear indicating that the operation is disabled by
the disc.
When the DVD player
is
left unoperated for more than 5 minutes after pressing the
stop button, a screen saver appears. Then, after additional 30 minutes, the player
enters the stand-by mode.

To resume playback from the same point, press the DVD/CD

button.

Press the DVD/CD button.

To resume playback after stopping
(sequential playback) _

You can resume playback from the point that the playback
is
stopped.
1 While the disc
is
playing, press the DVD/CD button.
The system stores the point you stopped.
2 To restart play, press the DVD/CD

button.
Play resumes from the point you stopped.
To cancel the sequential playback:
Press the DVD/CD button twice.
Notes:
The sequential playback feature is disabled on some discs.
Depending
on
the disc, playback may resume from slightly before the stopped
position.

Headphones
Before plugging
in
or unplugging the headphones, reduce the volume.
Be sure your headphones have a
1/8" (3.5 mm) diameter plug and are between 16
ohms and 50 ohms impedance. The recommended impedance
is
32 ohms.
Plugging
in
the headphones disconnects the speakers automatically. Adjust the
volume using the VOLUME buttons.
You cannot use the surround feature with headphones.
