If trouble occurs
When this product is subjected to strong external interference (mechanical shock,
excessive static electricity, abnormal supply voltage due to lightning, etc.) or if it
is
operated incorrectly, it may malfunction.
If such a problem occurs, do the following:
Resetting the AV control unit:
1 Unplug the subwoofer/amplifier unit.
2 While holding down the ON/STAND-BY button, plug
in
the AC power cord.
At this time, the component will not be turned on.
3 Press the ON/STAND-BY button again
to
turn the power on.
Caution:
This operation will erase all data stored
in
memory and restore various settings to the
initial status (default).
Resetting the DVD player:
Unplug the DVD player and, after waiting 5 minutes or longer, plug it
in
again.
When the protection circuit
is
activated:
When short-circuiting the speaker cords or turning the volume too high, the protec-
tion circuit may be activated and the system may enter the stand-by mode.
Unplug the subwoofer/amplifier unit and, after 5 minutes or more, plug it
in
again.
Turn down the volume if set too high.
Before transporting the system
1 Press the ON/STAND-BY button of the DVD player to turn the power on.
2 Open the disc tray and remove the disc.
3 Close the disc tray and set the system to the stand-by mode.
4 After the power indicator goes off, unplug the system.
