Object recognition
When se
lecting the application, there must be a reference object in the detection area.
The MLG-2 memorizes the pattern of the defined objects.

Pattern of defined objects
The selected output switches when the MLG-2 recognizes objects which correspond to
the pa
ttern.
NOTE
•
T
his is an e
xample of dynamic object detection, i.e. an object will be recognized at
every point in the detection area. The object is allowed to move within the detec‐
tion area.
•
2 beams are specified as the tolerance.
•
An MLG-2 with more than 240 beams can have max. 120 changes (transfer
between made and blocked beams).

FBB – First Beam Blocked
T
he se
lected analog output changes its output current with the beam number of the
first beam blocked.
