Basic procedure
Note
If the encrypted communication is enabled on a PC station, this PC station can only establish
communication connections to PC stations on which the same PSK is configured.
Note the following example: Communication with inconsistent settings for encrypted
communication in a plant
1. Switch on migration mode for all PC stations:
Leave the PSK unchanged and select the "Migration mode" check box.
2. Disable encrypted communication for all PC stations:
Clear the "Encrypted communication" check box.
3. Enable new PSK for all PC stations:
Select the "Encrypted communication" check box, enter the new PSK and select the
"Migration mode" check box.
4. Switch off migration mode for all PC stations:
Leave the PSK unchanged and clear the "Migration mode" check box.
