6-way ceramic valve
The 6-way ceramic valve can be used to inject gas-
eous samples onto the column.
The 6 paths of the valve are pneumatically switched
such that 3 paths are simultaneous open in the valve. If
gas is to be injected, an injection volume assembly is
present at one valve path. This is switched into the sam-
ple gas path and is filled with sample. The injection
volume assembly is subsequently connected to the car-
rier gas path. The carrier gas flushes the contents of the
injection volume assembly onto the column.
