The I/O systems have been created in the hardware configuration, but not yet assigned to
the CPU 1511-1 PN. They are both displayed under "Unassigned devices" in the project
view.
The SIMATIC ET 200 product family offers different scalable I/O systems to suit your specific
application.

Introduction
In the following section, you will create a PROFINET I/O system.
A PROFINET I/O system consists of the PROFINET IO controller and its assigned
PROFINET IO devices:
● The CPU 1511-1 PN you already created is used as PROFINET IO controller.
● The two distributed I/O systems are used as PROFINET IO devices.
