4.6 EDITING/SAVING PROGRAMS USING AN EPROM/EEPROM
You
manage operation of the EPROM/EEPROM
by executing AUX Function 84
on
the programming unit. Function 84 gives you the following options:
Copy RAM to EEPROM
Copy EEPROM to RAM
Select RAM as program source
Select EEPROM as program source
Erase program in EEPROM
Report source (RAM OR EEPROM) of program being executed
NOTE
If
you use an EPROM in a TI525/TI535, you cannot
execute
these AUX Function 84 options:
Copy RAM to EEPROM
Erase program in EEPROM
The EEPROM is automatically write protected on
power-up, which prevents any accidental write
operations. This protective measure does not
hinder
the device operation in any way
. If you
want
to
use the device
in equipment other than SIMA
TIC
TI equipment, you can deactivate this protective
feature by erasing the EEPROM, powering down
the
unit, and removing the EEPROM.
