SINUMERIK 840Di Manual (HBI) – 06.03 Edition
After DP master has been configured, 840Di Rack with PROFIBUS DP is now
displayed in the Station window.
You can use the axis start-up tool SimoCom U to start up all DP slaves 611U
connected to PROFIBUS from a SINUMERIK 840Di. To allow this, the PLC
must route SimoCom U to PROFIBUS. This requires that the MPI interface of
the PLC is networked.
To do so, open the Properties dialog box by double-clicking on the PLC in 840Di
Rack.
The following settings are made in the dialog box:
S Interface type
S Address
S Data transfer rate.
