5.4 Fire barrier
Positioning and installing the fire barrier
The fire barrier must be positioned in such a way that it is always in or in front of the fire
wall/fire ceiling. The maximum fixing distances must be observed here (see Case 1 to 5).
Centre of the fire barrier = centre of fire wall/centre of fire ceiling is not absolutely necessary.
Flush finishing with the fire wall/fire ceiling is permissible (see Case 2), or the fire barrier can
also be positioned on the fire wall/fire ceiling (see Case 3). Undefined mounting positions are
not permitted (Case 6).
Case 1: Fire barrier in the centre of the fire wall/fire ceiling
