7.3 Lubrication line connection
CAUTION
Tipping hazard
Exercise care when dealing with lu-
bricants. Bind and remove spilled or
leaked lubricants immediately.
Connect lubrication lines in
such a way that no forces are
transferred to the product (ten-
sion-free connection).
All components of the centralised lubrication
system must be able to withstand:
○ maximum pressure during pressurisation
○ the system’s design temperature range
○ the output volume and the lubricant to be
supplied
Observe the following installation instruc-
tions for safe and smooth operation.
○ Use clean components and primed lubri-
cation lines only.
○ Lubrication lines shall generally be laid
in such a way that no air pockets can be
formed at any point.
○ Avoid installing sharp elbows, angle
valves, gaskets protruding to the inside or
any structures which increase or de-
crease the cross-section of the line, as
these may impede lubricant flow. If chan-
ging the cross-section of a lubrication line
cannot be avoided, make the transition as
smooth as possible.
