9. Mark and disconnect the hoses from the extension
cylinder. Cap hoses and ports to keep them clean.
Take the hoses out of the hanger on the cylinder
link.
10. Support the link, then remove the link pin.
11. Remove the top wear pad on the extension
cylinder guide.

12. Place a lifting strap on the extension cylinder rod.
Pull the cylinder out along with the upper cables
to about 1/3 of the way. The cable ends can be
tie-wrapped to the cylinder to help keep them from
getting tangled.

13. Remove the mid boom pulleys and cable stops.
Continue to pull the cylinder out.

14. Flip the cable support over so the narrow end
faces the counterweight end of the machine.
Flipping it over makes it easier to remove with the
cylinder.
