5.5-3 Check the Swing Drive Oil
1. Raise the riser and support it with a suitably
rated lifting device, or cylinder chocks on both
riser cylinder rods.
2. Slowly lower the riser until it is just above the
supportive device being used.
3. Remove the plug from the fill port

on the back
of the swing drive.
4. Check the oil level. The oil level should be
slightly below the port threads.
5. Add oil if needed. Refer to 2.13 Specifications
and Features - Engines & Fluids for
recommended oil types.

5.5-4 Change the Swing Drive Oil
NOTE
The oil change must be performed on a flat, level
surface.
1. Raise the riser and support it with a suitably
rated lifting device, or cylinder chocks on both
riser cylinder rods.
2. Slowly lower the riser until it is just above the
supportive device being used.
3. Remove the plug at the fill port

4. Place a suitable container under the drain
port

5. Remove the plug at the drain port.
6. Allow the oil to drain.
7. Reinstall the drain plug.
8. Refill the swing drive with approximately 1 L
(32 oz) of oil (refer to 2.13 Specifications and
Features - Engines & Fluids for recommended
oil types).
9. Reinstall the plug at the fill port.
