Scan Vehicle Logging
TheScanVehicleLoggingutilityisusedbySnaponTechnicalSupporttoassistin
solvingvehicleconnectionissues.Thelogisnotvisibletotheuser.However,it
providesconnectioninformationusefultotheTechnicalSupportteamwhen
solvingconnectionissues.
NOTE:
i Do not enable this utility unless directed to do so by a Technical Support
specialist.
Manual Scan
Manual Scan is used in instances where you want to load an application that was
not presented for selection during HD Scan (e.g., Heavy Duty Standard J1708).
Manual Scan is also used by Technical Support in resolving customer support
issues. Manual Scan can also be useful for bypassing issues that may occur
during an automatic vehicle scan.
NOTE:
i Prior to initiating a manual vehicle scan, the vehicle should be in a key-on,
engine-off state. For detailed information on connecting the device to a
vehicle, see Connecting to a Vehicle in Chapter 3 of this manual.
To initiate the Manual Scan feature:
1 Touch the Scan button (see Figure 8.11).
