What to do if socomec ATyS p M does not switch over after priority source is lost?
    • B
      Brandon HollandAug 16, 2025
If the Socomec Switch does not switch over after the priority source is lost, first verify that the device is not in manual mode by ensuring the cover is closed for automatic mode. Also, check that automatic operation is not being blocked by external commands. Finally, examine the Emergency Source Availability LED; if it's off, consult the relevant troubleshooting steps for that specific issue.

What to do if socomec ATyS p M does not switch over when the priority source is restored?
    • S
      scottmalloryAug 19, 2025
If the Socomec Switch does not switch over when the priority source is restored, ensure that the product is not in manual mode by checking that the cover is closed for automatic mode. Also, verify that automatic operation is not inhibited by external orders. Check the state of the "Priority Source Availability" LED and refer to the relevant troubleshooting if it is off. Verify the setting of the 1RT (1 Return Timer) and use a stopwatch to check the switch to Priority SOURCE (duration of this delay is between 0 and 3600s). Finally, check that the manual retransfer function is not active in the SETUP menu by setting RETRANS to NO.

What to do if Socomec Switch cannot be switched over using the handle?
    • D
      David SkinnerAug 22, 2025
If the Socomec Switch cannot be switched over using the handle, check the direction of rotation of the handle: manual switchover from position 1 to position 2 is executed clockwise, and the return operation is executed anticlockwise. Ensure that the product is not padlocked. Use the handle extension on the ALLEN key to check that the appropriate adjustment torque is applied. When using a single AC, ensure that the length of the screws used is not greater than 20 mm.

How to fix the "Priority SOURCE Availability" LED when it does not come on a Socomec Switch?
    • K
      Kevin MonroeAug 25, 2025
If the "Priority SOURCE Availability" LED does not come on for the Socomec Switch, begin by pressing the "LED test" button. Next, check the display for the message "F13 ROT-1" (Priority Source Phase Rotation Fault) and verify phase rotation consistency between the source and the ROT parameter in the SETUP menu, or between the 2 sources. Also, check the network type, nominal voltage, and frequency parameters in the SETUP menu, and voltage and frequency thresholds in the VOLT LEVELS and FREQ LEVELS menus. If using an Auto transformer, configure the NETWORK parameter to 3NBL and the NEUTRAL parameter (location of Neutral) to left or right in the SETUP menu.

What to do if the "Emergency SOURCE Availability" LED does not come on for socomec ATyS p M Switch?
    • A
      Alexander FarleyAug 27, 2025
If the "Emergency SOURCE Availability" LED does not come on for the Socomec Switch, press the "LED test" button. Check the display for the message "F23 ROT- 2" (Emergency Source Phase Rotation Fault) and verify phase rotation consistency between the source and the ROT parameter in the SETUP menu, or between the 2 sources. If a generator is operating off load, check the nominal voltage threshold and hysteresis in the VOLT LEVELS menu and the frequency threshold and hysteresis in the FREQ LEVELS menu. Also, check the network type, nominal voltage, and frequency parameters in the SETUP menu. If using an Auto transformer, configure the NETWORK parameter to 3NBL and the NEUTRAL parameter (location of Neutral) to left or right in the SETUP menu.

What to do if socomec ATyS p M Switch remains switched off after the priority source is lost?
    • S
      Steven MendozaAug 31, 2025
If the Socomec Switch remains switched off after the priority source is lost, check for a voltage of 106 to 305 Vac on terminals 1-7 corresponding to source II (for Model 230/400 Vac). For a Transformer/Generator application, confirm that the 1FT (1 Failure Timer) has counted down using a stopwatch. If GE START = NO (Normally Open) in the SETUP menu: Contact 73-74 Closed means Generator starting order and Contact 73-74 Open means Generator stoppage order. If GE START = NC (Normally Closed) in the SETUP menu: Contact 73-74 Closed means Generator stoppage order and Contact 73-74 Open means Generator starting order.

Why does the Emergency Source continue to operate after returning to Priority SOURCE on socomec ATyS p M?
    • V
      Vicki MooreSep 3, 2025
If the Socomec Switch returns to the priority source but the emergency source (for a generator) continues to operate, check that the 2CT (2 Cool Timer) counts down (duration between 0 and 600s) using a stopwatch. Contact 73 - 74 should change state once this delay has counted down. If GE START = NO (Normally Open) in the SETUP menu: Contact 73-74 Closed means Generator starting order and Contact 73-74 Open means Generator stoppage order. If GE START = NC (Normally Closed) in the SETUP menu: Contact 73-74 Closed means Generator stoppage order and Contact 73-74 Open means Generator starting order. Also, verify the product is in Automatic mode (cover closed), and that automatic operation is not inhibited by external orders.

How to start ON LOAD and OFF LOAD tests via the keypad on Socomec Switch?
    • C
      Cheyenne HodgesSep 5, 2025
If ON LOAD and OFF LOAD tests cannot be started via the keypad on the Socomec Switch, verify that the product is in Automatic mode (cover closed) and that automatic operation has not been inhibited by external orders. Check the Operating mode password (factory code 0000) to access the test functions. Ensure that the product is in M-G application. Finally, check the state of the "Priority Source Availability" LED and refer to the symptom concerned if it is off.

Why is AUTOMATIC mode not activated even though the cover is closed on socomec ATyS p M?
    • L
      Linda DiazSep 9, 2025
If AUTOMATIC mode is not activated on the Socomec Switch even though the cover is closed, verify that the plastic pin (sensor) is in place on the bottom of the cover, as this pin activates the sensor which indicates the position of the cover (open or closed). Also, check that automatic operation has not been inhibited by external orders.

Why the socomec ATyS p M Switch cannot be locked?
    • S
      Sandy WileySep 12, 2025
To resolve the issue of a Socomec Switch that cannot be locked, check the mechanical position of the changeover switch. Locking is only possible in position 0 as standard. Locking in positions 1-0-2 is possible by modifying the product in accordance with the instructions.
