N Insert torsion spring (22).
N Hook pin (arrow) into torsion spring (22).
N Slide on clamping arm (21).
N Install lock washer (23).
10.5.2 Installing new brake band
N Actuate top brake lever (7) and hold it there.
N Hook brake band (19) onto the lever (20).
N Insert brake band (19) into guide (arrow).
N Slowly release top brake lever (7).
N Insert brake band (19) and press it into the
support (arrow).
N Wet screw (18) with Loctite 242 thread-locking
adhesive (thread-locking adhesive, medium strength)
- 0786 111 2101.
N Insert screw (18) and tighten.
N Check correct functioning: Actuate top brake lever (7)
and slowly release it. The brake band will be
slackened and tensioned. Repeat process 3 times.
N Insert holding-down clamp (14).
N Insert screws (15) and tighten.
10.5.3 Installing the connector
N Actuate top brake lever (7) and hold it there.
N Push locking pin (31) 4130 893 7800 through the
holding-down clamp (14) as far as it will go. The brake
lever underneath the holding-down clamp (14) will be
immobilized.
N Release top brake lever (7).
N Place connector (13) and attached parts in position
against the clutch drum and push on over the studs.
N Screw on nuts (12).
N Tighten up the lower 2 nuts.
N Turn clamping arm (21) using hexagon (arrow)
counterclockwise as far as it will go and hold.
N Tighten nut (12).
N Actuate top brake lever (7) and hold it there.
N Remove locking pin 4130 893 7800.
N Slowly release top brake lever (7).
