Stihl TS 440 - 10.5.4 Installing new V belts

N Slide “19 mm auxiliary tool” (32) onto hexagon.
N Slacken nut (31).
N Turn the tensioning arm at the “19 mm auxiliary
tool” (32) counterclockwise and hold it there.
N Tighten nut (31).
N Remove “19 mm auxiliary tool” (32).
N Push the grommet (17) into the support (arrow).
N Plug white plug (16) into electronic module. The
plug (16) engages.
N Fit cover (11). The cover (11) audibly engages.
N Insert screw (10) and tighten.
N Push hose (9) and hose clip (8) onto water
connection.
N Close hose clip (8).
10.5.4 Installing new V belts
N Mount front V belt (6) starting on the center pulley
(arrow).
N Once the front V belt is mounted, turn the front belt
pulley 3 turns.
N Slowly undo the nut (31). The front V belt (6) is
tensioned.
N Turn the belt pulley 3 turns. The tension is evenly
distributed.
