WSPC USER INTERFACE Part 1: User Level
20
3.4.1 Sensor Details Button
It is possible for the user to view the readings of up to eleven sensors during the
last ten minutes leading up to a fault. While at the “Service” display screen, click
on the “sensor details” button (see Figure 3.5) to bring up the “Sensor Log.”
This log, shown in Figure 3.6, displays each sensor reading in ten one-minute
decrements down to one minute before the last fault occurred. In the example
shown, the log shows sensor readings for temperature (AI0), P1 sump pressure
(AI3), P2 line pressure (AI4) and voltage (AI10). The final minute of sensor
readings leading up to a fault is displayed in 12 five-second decrements. The
last sensor reading is at zero (0) seconds recorded shortly before the fault
occurrence. Using this data a user or service technician can observe the
progression of a fault as an aid in diagnosing the problem. The bottom row of the
Sensor Fault Log provides a unit label assigned to the corresponding sensor.
Refer to the WS Controller User Instruction Manual for actions to be taken when
a warning or fault condition occurs.

The results displayed in the sensor log chart can be saved to a file by clicking the
“Create Report” button at the bottom of the “Sensor Log” window. The Save
Sensor Data window will be presented. See Figure 3.7. Click Save to save the
log using the filename and default directory provided. By default, the log data will
be saved in the same folder as the WSPC program files, typically:
..\Sullair\WSPC\SensorLog_n.txt
where “_n” is a consecutive identifier number (1, 2, 3 … n) assigned to the log.
If desired, another directory can be selected and a descriptive filename can be
typed into the Filename field to save the log data to a user specified location.
When assigning a user specified location, be sure to note the directory path and
filename information so that the log data can be easily located later.
After clicking the Save button, the “Save sensor log” confirmation box will appear.
The box will display the full pathname of the sensor log file. Click “OK” to return
to the Fault Sensor Log window.
