range of operation. Enter the desired frequency multiplied by 10 (e.g., 814 for
81.4 Hz).
Motor Protect Amps – Maximum amp setting for VSD operation. This should
be set for the LOWER of:
1. Maximum motor amps. This is FLA times service factor, unless a specific
SFA is shown. For 460V/60Hz motors connected 400V/60Hz, multiply the
460V nameplate ratings by 1.15.
2. Rated drive current. This is shown on the drive nameplate. This will
usually be the limit for most 460V compressors.
Slow Acc/Dec – Setting for controlling VSD acceleration and deceleration. The
factory settings are based on standard motors, and this setting is 0. If a special
motor is applied, this setting may be increased to eliminate drive overvoltage
during deceleration. Slower settings will reduce system stability, and may require
additional air storage.
6.5.12 Saving and Loading Administrator Parameters
Administrator parameters may be Saved and loaded by using the Load/Save
button on the “Admin” tab. The procedures are identical to those described for
User Adjustments in section 3.8.8 and 3.8.9.
6.5.13 Import Commission Data
The commissioning parameters will be updated from time to time as new models
or features are added to the line of compressors. When this happens, a
commission data text file will be distributed. This allows easier distribution,
including simple e-mail attachments. It also will allow the update without
affecting other WSPC preferences and saved information. The procedure is
simple and fast, and should be done following any distribution from Sullair.
1. Copy the new file to your PC. The preferred location is with the other
WSPC program files. You may use “Import Other Data” to copy files from
other locations to this folder.
2. Start WSPC. You do not need to be connected to a controller.
3. Select the “Admin” tab.
4. Click the “Import Commission Data” tab.
5. Select the file with the new commission data. See figure 6.15. You may
browse to other locations, if necessary.
6. Click the “Open” button
7. Confirm or Cancel on the confirmation box. All old commissioning data is
cleared when you confirm.
8. Wait while the data is updated. This takes about a minute.
9. A final confirmation box will confirm that the job is completed.
