2 TP Sensor Reference Voltage check :
1) Wit ignition switch OFF, disconnect TP sen-
sor coupler.
2) Check voltage between “GRY/RED” wire
terminal of TP sensor coupler and ground.
Is voltage 4.5 – 5.5 V?
Go to Step 3. “GRY/RED” wire open or
shorted to ground circuit
or power circuit or poor
C51-3-11 connection.
“GRY/YEL” wire open or
poor C51-3-20 connec-
tion.
If OK, substitute a known-
good ECM (PCM) and
recheck.
3 TP Sensor check :
1) Check “TP Sensor” referring to Section 6E2.
Is check result as specified?
“RED/GRN” wire open/
shorted to ground circuit
or power circuit or poor
C51-3-12 connection.
If OK, substitute a known-
good ECM (PCM) and
recheck.
Replace TP sensor.
