DAMPER INSPECTION
Inspect the dampers for wear or damage.
If any defects are found, replace the dampers with new ones.
MOVABLE DRIVE FACE INSTALLATION
• Mount the dampers

on the movable drive face plate

• Position the rollers

on the movable drive face

• Check that the rollers

are in normal position in the movable
drive face

• Position the movable drive face plate

on the movable drive

CLUTCH SHOE/MOVABLE DRIVEN FACE DISASSEMBLY
• Hold the clutch shoe assembly

with the special tool.

• Loosen the clutch shoe nut

• Attach the special tool to the clutch shoe/movable driven face
assembly and compress the clutch shoe assembly by turning
in the special tool handle

\ 09922-31420: Clutch spring compressor
• Remove the clutch shoe nut

Do not remove the clutch shoe nut before attaching
the clutch spring compressor.
Since a high spring force applies to the clutch shoe
assembly, care must be used so as not to cause the
clutch shoe assembly and movable driven face to
come off abruptly.
