NetBackup deletes the secondary disk pool
after the merge.
Changing OpenStorage disk pool properties
You can change the properties of a disk pool.
To add volumes to a disk pool, you must use a different procedure.

To change OpenStorage disk pool properties

In the NetBackup Administration Console, in the left pane, expand Media
and Device Management > Devices > Disk Pools.

In the right pane, select the disk pool you want to change.
